Privacy Policy

Draft — under review. This page is a placeholder while the final text is being reviewed. It is not yet a binding legal document. Questions: support@tizmos.com.

This page will describe how Tizmos handles information for the three kinds of people who use it: teachers who make and send Tizmos, families who open them, and students who do the missions and report back. The final text is being reviewed. Until it is published here, nothing on this page should be read as a commitment beyond the product principles listed below, which are already true of the product itself.

Product principles that shape this policy

  • No kid accounts. Students do not create accounts, usernames or profiles. Families do not create accounts either. A Tizmo is opened from a link, a QR code, or a printed card.
  • Reports go to the teacher. What a student reports back — done, an optional photo or short video, and one line — is shown to the teacher who sent the Tizmo.
  • No advertising anywhere a family or a student can see.
  • Families always use Tizmos free.

What the final policy will cover

  1. What information is collected from teachers (account details, the Tizmos they make, recordings they choose to add) and why.
  2. What information is collected when a family opens a Tizmo and a student reports back, and how long it is kept, including the retention periods described on the pricing page.
  3. Who processes that information on our behalf (hosting, email, payments, the AI service used to draft a Tizmo from a teacher’s sentence) and what they are permitted to do with it.
  4. How teachers can export or delete what they have made, and how a family can ask for a report to be removed.
  5. How to contact us about any of the above.
